One must have heard innumerable discussions on this very topic and most of us feel that here judgement falls undoubtedly in favour of vegetarianism. Arguments such as an individual's freedom to live and grow, ecological disbalance and inability to regain the lost animals come to rescue vegetarianism. Lets have a look from a diffrent dimension.
If living right activist talk about the pain and sufferings of animals, how can they oversee the same caused when fruits, cereals, leaves are torn off from a plant's body. It has been well established that plants too feel pain as animals do. If living right activists fight for animal life then why not for plants and make humans starve to death????
The truth, though bitter , is that we donot have a hold on these natural processes. Nature has created a cycle called food chain that takes care of the ecological balance that we humans are striving hard for . The very fact that our digestive system has the ability to digest meat is itself nature's consent to humans to be non vegetarians.
Some may argue that killing of birds and animals for meat has caused a disbalance in natural ecosystems and is gradually disturbing the food chain. But i don't get it how do poultry farms that intentionally make chickens breed in large numbers and make them available for meat disturb the environment . Let me make a point clear i'm focusing on non veg food and not justifying the killing of animals like kaziranga rhinos for their horns .
A very well known rule of nature 'survival of the fittest'; as every other intelligent species who rules over species inferior to him, man too has the right to indulge in actions that do not disturb the ecology to a state that would harm him . I am not against vegetarianism. In fact i do respect individual ideas of an individual but what i have to say is b'ing non vegetarian is not a crime!!!!
Hey I did not expect the matter you wrote in by the title. Be careful while choosing the title, because whenever a search is made, it is the title that goes in the eyes of the viewer. So make it rather, a catchy one. A sample for this article could be Vegetarianism : Follow it or not, even this does not give a fair idea of what you are writing in.
ReplyDeleteBut nice work, though I felt it went a bit harsh on the animals ;)
Most of ur points are incorrect... atleast research on what u r saying before writing on it...
ReplyDeleteHumans are natural plant-eaters - i dont need to say anything else on it - it has been the most debated topic between us...
Take a look at this...
Read it...a long article...It has got answers to almost all ur MISCONCEPTIONS. Anyways, am still answering few of urs by myself...
Firstly, ur point '..Nature has created a cycle called food chain that takes care of the ecological balance...' is pretty meaningless becoz humans are natural plant eaters, we were never made non-vegetarian diet...
So don`t camouflage breeding animals PURPOSEFULLY and then killing them under the 'nature`s cycle'...
'The very fact that our digestive system has the ability to digest meat is itself nature's ...' - another disguise, we cannot digest raw meat as we get it naturally, we are only able to do so becoz we cook it, carnivores have the ability to digest raw meat...
Third, when u eat fruits u are not killing the tree, neither it is torn apart from the tree body, they fall off naturally from the trees...
Most foolish point - 'A very well known rule of nature 'survival of the fittest' as every other intelligent species who rules over species inferior to him' ... bhai ye tab hota hain jab tu kisi ladai ka part hain... diet choose karne mein survival of the fittest kahan se aa gaya???
Infact this line '...man too has the right to indulge in actions that do not disturb the ecology to a state that would harm him' shows how selfish is ur attitude towards nature... u wish to do anything as long as it does not harm you... what about u harming the nature?
If i consider ur 'selfish' viewpoint as correct, then according to you, for example, the terrorist activities should not matter much to u becoz it did not harm you till now, others are dying but how much does that matter to you (u r selfish!), unless u are going to be affected by it, u shouldn`t be blaming it... (give me one reason y do u care about the feelings and pain of the affected people with whom u don`t bear any relationship but u don`t care about the same about the nature, about the poor animals u killing brutally for selfish needs???)
View things the way they are, dont just blindly support ur cause coz u have been following it ever since...!
To begin with lets take up your lusturous start 'we cannot digest raw meat as we get it naturally, we are only able to do so becoz we cook it '....... Well i guess not even Meneka Gandhi's digestive system is able to digest RAW brinjals, cauliflower or for that matter karelas.Dude we even need to cook them !! Nature has empowered humans with a digestive system to digest cooked meat and a brain to device cooking methods. The fact that apples and bananas support your nature's consent wala funda dosn't mean hardcore cellulose should be removed from a vegetarian diet.Well I won't ask you to research on what you are saying but do apply a bit of your common sense.
ReplyDeleteWe were too much anti in our views but there was one place we stood somewhat together. You talked of fruits falling off and dying if not consumed ...... if we extend this theory of your's to animals , the outcome is... kill them 'coz they will die someday if not killed today. atleast I talked of poultry farms that don't harm the ecological stability which is vital for humans.
Considering your level of general knoledge let me inform you that plants such as spinach , potatoes, beetroot, onions etc which sane people don't consider meat, are consumed in full i.e. the entire plant is eaten.
Your pathetic interpretation of Survival Of Fittest has even stunned Charles Darwin!! well i can't call him down for a discussion but do read your 10th class biology book.... even maharashtra board speaks of such stuff. Though the theory focuses on ladai but a tiger dosn't barge on a deer just for the sake of ego.... the reason here again is Food. The word fittest covers food procurement, adjustment to environmental conditions, self defence and all related aspects.
My words may seem advocacy of terrorist activities by you, let me tell you that, such activities kill humans and there is a high probability that i could be a victim of the same the very next moment..... atleast a probability greater than non vegetarianism. Terrorist attacks are aimed destruction of mankind of which i am a part.
And as far as your much sensationalised selfishnees allegations are concerned, let me tell you even killing plants or making them handicapped (cutting parts) for the sake of food is being selfish. The reality is that we can't help it. My talks of " starve to death" sufficiently talks of that.
